    I bought this as a much needed replacement when my coffee maker died, and this was the cheapest option. It brews a pot of coffee quickly and works. The downside is that the heating element doesn't keep the coffee hot for the full 4 hours that the coffee maker stays on. Around the 2 to 3 hr mark the coffee starts to noticibly cool off.

    Even though it's advertised as autoshutoff after 4 hours, which is one of the main reasons I purchased this model, mine shuts off after 2 hours!!!! Also the design of the lid hinge causes the lid to drip water on you hand and/or the floor when you open the lid. Not great if the water is still hot!

    I spent extra to get the Mr Coffee brand when our store brand maker had finally stopped working after years of service. After 4 months our brand name Mr Coffee coffee maker stopped working. We had forgotten to add water but caught it just as it started the brew cycle and added the water. This was enough to apparently ruin the machine and void the warranty. This same thing happened with our knock off brand many times but it kept working! The lack of quality was very disappointing- never buying Mr Cofee again!

    This only worked for 34 days. Then it just stopped. Won’t make code and the burner doesn’t get hot.

    I’m noticing that the product reviews are of a variety of Mr. coffee products, and it’s confusing for the consumer. I ended up buying a filter that was recommended by the Brand Expert, but they don’t fit in my machine. Fine. I’ll just squish it down until I purchase round filters. As for the machine itself, it does the job. I fill up my coffee mug first to the amount of coffee I want and pour it into the water compartment, then brew. If I want multiple cups or my husband and I are both home, we’ll make a large quantity. Line 2 is enough to fill 2/3 of my mug. Press Brew Now to brew your coffee when you want. If I’m just making a cup for myself, I’ll press the button again after my coffee is done to turn off the heat plate. Otherwise it stays on until its automatic shut off time, which I think I read is 4 hours. We tried the Brew Ahead feature once, but it didn’t activate. Maybe we’ll try it again in the future. Nothing fancy here, but it makes coffee!
